Tim Holtz Demos Distress Paint from Ranger – CHA 2013


The videos from the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show for winter 2013 start now! First off is one I know will generate tons of excitement! Tim Holtz’s Distress Paint is awesome and Tim demonstrates what you can do with it in this video.

I have a huge drawer full of paint already but Tim let me try these paints after we shot our video and I love how easy it is to get this paint all over a large surface in no time, especially if you use a Blending Tool to spread it. And it spreads so smoothly, and that’s really nothing compared to the other great features that make Distress Paint so unique!

    Great job as always. I wonder if you can water down any acrylic paint and get the same affect. Just wondering.

    You cannot. Try it and see. I spray water on acrylic paint all the time when I’m painting so I can get dripping paint streaks and I know it doesn’t do what Tim is doing with this paint! Not only does it not blend and wick, but all other acrylic paints get muddy if you mix warm and cool tones the way Tim just did in this video.

    I am just starting to learn some techniques. I am not really a creative person in general. These paints look completely awesome though. I have two questions. #1 Do you just rinse off the blending pad or dispose of it if you decide to use one instead of the dabber or your finger? #2 Does anyone know when these paints will become available? I am learning so much from your blog and the paperclipping roundtable. I am really wanting to become a member and hope to after I finish with some organizing I am doing in my home. No real time to watch videos at the moment and I would be tempted to do that instead of the organizing if I got the membership now. Thanks for everything.
