What will I need to make my own?

The Cover:

  • Standard office file folder
  • 3 pieces of coordinating patterned paper (For the 2nd Grade book I used: stars-Crate Paper; circles-7 Gypsies; dark brown-My Mind’s Eye)
  • Gaffer tape (ruler-7 Gypsies)
  • Oversized embellishment or monogram (My Mind’s Eye)
  • Ribbon to match gaffer tape
  • Letter stickers, in both small and large sizes (large brown-Thickers from American Crafts; black-Creative Memories)
  • Acrylic Paint

Pages:

  • 8.5 x 11 cardstock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Tags, ribbon, punched shapes, brads, patterned paper scraps, all in colors that coordinate with cover
  • Small letter stickers

Dividers:

  • Pieces of screen-printed transparencies, 2.5-3.5 inches wide (Hambly)
  • Ribbon
  • Letter stickers
  • Paper scraps, tags, journal spots

Tools You May Need:

  • Photo tape or PVA adhesive for the cover.
  • Glue dots
  • Stapler
  • Sand paper
  • Scissors
  • Standard adhesive
  • 3-Hole punch
  • Standard hole punch
  • Paper piercer for using brads
