Yes ! Thought provoking . I second your suggestion! Noell prompts and the way she present the video tutorials are really inspiring both in the artsy way and also the storytelling way :)

Loved this episode way more than I expected to! Although – I don’t think there has ever been an episode I didn’t love! I have scrapbooked a little bit about my relationship with my husband over the years – but not nearly as much as I should. And by *should*, I mean, given how important it is to my existance. If you looked at my scrapbooks and made a judgement as to what is important to me in my life based on the topics you see there repeatedly, I don’t think anyone would put my husband at the top of the list. And yet he should be.

I must admit, when you first released the class Noell, I wasn’t particularly interested in it; however, listening to the four of you chatting about it made me click “Buy Now”! I realized that my husband and I have some awesome stories that need to be shared, and I think I’ve been avoiding them because it’s tough to put something so precious and special into words. What if the words fall short of the reality? I don’t ever think that way about other topics (kids, friends, family stories, etc), but I think it’s been holding me back when it comes to scrapbooking my husband and our relationship.

I’m definitely looking forward to diving into the course material! Thanks again!

I think that’s true of a lot of scrapbookers. I realized late last year that my scrapbooks weren’t reflecting two of the most important people in my life- my husband and my sister. (although I have tons of “us” pages, there weren’t many with them as individuals). If you looked at my books and thought that I scrapped based on importance, it would seem that food is way more important to me than my sister! So I made a resolution this year to scrap a page a month about each of them. (I’m pretty prolific, so it wasn’t a big deal to do two extra pages a month). This wasn’t out of a sense of “guilt” or feeling that I “should” scrap them more. It was just a shift in focus. They are two of my favorite people, it’s fun to scrap them now.

  • Mel

LOL! I thought I was the only one who did that! Now, I don’t feel so bad. ;)

Scrapbooking isn’t just about your words. It’s about the photos, artwork, design, journaling, anything you put your heart & soul into. There are many different ways to communicate feelings! Take a look at the layout below – I have actually written very little, but the single photo matted on to this sunburst background adds dramatic feelings to an otherwise very simple layout.

I can’t wait to see your work on the course message boards!

  • Anne

Great episode with fabulous guests. I love to listen as I scrap. :)

  • Melissa LaFavers

Thank you for another great episode. I enjoyed it so much. All three guests were delightful, and of course, Noell and Izzy, you are always a joy to listen to. While I have done some scrapbooking about my sweetheart husband and our relationship, I’ve only scratched the surface of our wonderful story. We’ve been married almost twelve years, and I have yet to scrapbook our weddings (yes, we had two!), something that has been on my scrappin’ to-do list since I first started playing with pretty papers eight years ago.

After listening to everybody talk about their stories and creating pages about them on this episode, of course I HAD to purchase Noell’s Romantic Scrapbooking class. After watching the intro and first segment, I feel energized and motivated to start telling more of our love story. Thank you for always inspiring and entertaining me. You rock!

I haven’t scrapped my wedding either – and I’m coming up on 25 years! Ooops! :)

  • Melissa LaFavers

That makes me feel a little better, Beth. Thanks! Maybe this year will be the year for both of us! :)

  • Yay! Thank you for purchasing the course. I hope you love it!
