I’m listening right now, right at the Zendoodle part and had to jump in! I discovered Zendoodling about a month ago and have been going gangbusters ever since. It is unbelievably so fun! It’s more energizing than a cup of coffee! My said to me disapprovingly last Sunday, “I saw you doodling during the sermon…” At home (not at church :-/ )I am using a cheap composition book, cost $1, and some markers I had leftover from my CM (The Scrapbook Company That Shall Not be Named) days. Creativity breeds creativity…

You probably don’t remember but I am the one who commented before that I thought your pick of the week should “have to be” iPad related. The feeling of betrayal is awful. Izzy: I appreciate the honest feedback on the Ipad. I have been teetering back and forth trying to decide if an Ipad is what I need or something else. I had already learned that a big thing I wanted to use it for (to watch educational dvds or other dvds NOT purchased through ITUNES ) isn’t possible. I also wanted to read ebooks, pdf files, etc. on it so I especially appreciate hearing how continued reading on it bothered you (BTW , did you get a Nook Color or the plain one? Would love to hear others experiences with those)

I still think it is a great device, but it might not be the best for me either. Keep us posted if you decide to keep it and how your usage of it changes. I would also be interested in what you get to replace it and how that works out for you.

Thanks for another interesting show. I am mostly a traditional scrapper, but I enjoy listening to the Digi Show. Someday (when I get a new computer) I won’t be so green when I try to do a little digital dabbling. Oh, I did want to ask one question. How/What does the Wacom tablet contribute to the world of digital scrapbooking? I’ve seen the ads forever and I’m not sure if it has ever been mentioned on the show. It isn’t very expensive. Would it be worthwhile for a newbie digi scrapper?

I’m not sure if you guys have heard of this before but I think that this is absolute ultimate in scrapbooking. It’s called the Feltron report (link:http://feltron.com/ar10_03.html). Nicholas Feltron does the most amazing recording of his everyday life and at the end of the year he assembles it into an “annual report”.

Thought I would pass on the link as it is pretty cool.

You girls are cracking me up with the fonts. I use my cricut for almost all of my titles and either use alphalicious or mickey and friends font. When I use the computer, I keep it super simple/traditional. The more choices I have the long it takes to scrap.

Ooooh, fun fonts! A few of my favorites (old and new) were mentioned, and it inspired me to use one (You Are Loved) on my latest layout. I should use that one more; it rocks.

A couple other scripty fonts I like are Honey Script, Jane Austen, Amelie, and AL Sandra.

I just found Code Light and Code Bold for some graphic, modern titles and/or journaling:

And I prefer Lane A to Impact for titles (even though it’s all uppercase):

A couple I like that came with my computer: Myriad Std (an outline font) and Perpetua Titling MT.

I’m also a fan of Love Ya Like a Sister, Prissy Frat Boy, and My Own Topher for either journaling or titles. Smiley Monster is also one of my go-to fonts for kid pages.

Did 1942 Report not get mentioned with the typewriter fonts??? Maybe that trend is “out.” (Well, not on my layouts!)

Oh gosh, that’s a lot of fonts — sorry; I got carried away there. :-D

Anyway.

As always, you guys make me laugh. The whole “you can type bad words with ANY font” comment had me CRACKING UP; I had to rewind and let my husband share an earbud so he could hear what I was laughing about, and even out of context he was laughing, too.

Thanks for this show. I’ve really been meaning to organize my fonts but kept putting it off. I downloaded AMP Font Viewer but it kept crashing when I tried to uninstall a font. So I tried Font Xplorer and i’m really happy with it. The reviews all say it doesn’t work with Windows 7 but I set it to run as Administrator and it works great.

Now i’m in the process of uninstalling fonts and organizing them into folders. And of course, I downloaded a bunch of new fonts thanks to this episode.

Question — for those of you organizing fonts, what folders/categories do you use? And if you use folders, do you put some fonts into multiple folders?

OMG!!! I am behind on the episodes and just got around to listening to this episode today and was TOTALLY stoked that my comment was read on the show! I wanted to yell or something, but since I was listening at work I thought it best not to do so. I was impressed that Izzy pronounced my last name right, normally people butcher it. Since I left that comment about being in a scrap rut I have since made several more, a couple of which were digital, thanks to Steph’s template class at BPC. Thanks again!!

Thanks so much for the list! I don’t have the patience to go looking for fonts and I had only heard of two or three of the ones listed in the show. I’m always on the lookout for fonts that make good titles — I’m just not willing to put in the effort to dig them up myself — and I hope to find a few new ones with these links!
