iNSD Lifebooks Donation Drive Weigh-In!

Please Report Your Total Here!

FINAL WEIGH-IN TOTAL: 640 Lbs!
Roxane, founder of Shared Scraps, and I asked you to gather all of your less-than-loved scrapbooking supplies and donate them to your local social services for children under state custody to use for their Lifebooks. To do this, you have to actually hunt down the person in charge of this program by calling your county’s social or human services office. It’s not unbearably difficult, but it’s not super easy, either. Kudos to those of you who did it!

Roxane had a crop she was attending and two days before its scheduled date, asked the ladies to bring their extras. Look what this awesome group of women brought to their local Lifebooks contact person…

I have been hearing lots of awesome results and now is your chance to weight in! We are excited to find out the total weight of all who are participating! Please weigh in by commenting on this post with your pounds. Don’t be shy. Some of you are newer to scrapbooking and don’t have much to give. Some of us (like myself) had just recently decluttered and had to dig pretty hard to find stuff we could part from. Whether you had a desperate need to purge and have a lot to give, or just a little, please weigh in so we can announce a grand total!

Much appreciation to the generous sponsors of our event:

* Prima * My Mind’s Eye * American Crafts * Ali Edwards Designs * Big Picture Scrapbooking * Scrapbook.com * Creativity Prompt * Dedra Long *

This is such an exciting week and day for me. Thank you again Noell for spreading the word to your audience. You're my star!
The generous ladies from the crop gave me 199 pounds! Isn't that amazing!
I also collected another 17 pounds from my stash and one other donor.
Taly_g sent me 13 pounds from her stash, so I'm going to post it here for her!

Thank you again and again ladies.

Please keep this in mind all year and every year. I've been doing this for four years now, and its so needed and so appreciated.

Thank you for making my dream of spreading this around the US come true. You're amazing!

I have just shy of 24 lbs so if I deduct for the box I'll say 23 lbs.

A friend of mine gave me a bunch of supplies recently and some just weren't my style so those are included along with some of my lesser used stuff

  • lorriejonas

I am embarrassed to say how much I have to donate. I have 36 lbs of stuff. OMG I didn't realize I shopped that much, because I can't even see what is missing yet. I am glad it will go to a good cause. My local office wasn't quite sure what to do with it, but they think they will be able to figure it out. Hope it went to the right place.

I have to add one last comment from me!

I've been looking at these threads over and over again to fill my heart once again with the amazing support you ladies have given. You are all so generous. Your donations will be life long gifts to the children whose lives you have blessed with the scraps you have shared. Thank you again and again. Please give yourself a great big hug from me!

    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Molly McCarthy reported 75 lbs from Treasured Memories scrapbook store in CA:

“Treasured Memories collected over 40 albums, 15 trimmers and TONS of paper, stickers and embellishments. I asked the staff to weigh it for me but they laughed – it was just too much! I would guess over 75 pounds – those albums weigh a lot!”

Checking back in to say that the store, Paper 2 Pages did another 8 lbs in addition to their original total.
