This is another Paperclipping Flexible Template. These templates should give you a good kick-start on a layout without being too explicit as to where exactly to put what, or how many and what size your photos should be.

My Flexible Templates = Creativity + Flexibility + Easy Start

Below are the layouts I featured in this episode…

Scrabble

Scrabble
Journaling reads: This is the perfect game for you, my gifted, “Word Dude.” This summer I taught you how to play and I had a great time battling you with words.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill) * patterned paper (Creative Memories: this is OLD paper that I toned down with a washed layer of white paint; the smaller pieces in the embellishments might be Paper Trunk???) * ribbon (K.I. Memories made the large piece, the others are unknown) * metal frame * circular tag (Stampin’- Up) * letter stickers.

Tea Time

Tea Time
Journaling reads: Grandma Gertrude got you started on a tea pot collection by giving you two of her own pots. You love to use them to make everyone some tea. They’re cute and you’re giving.
Supplies: patterned paper (My Mind’s Eye) * journal strip (Creative Cafe) * angel wings + glimmer mist (Tattered Angels) * button * brad from unknown source).

First Phone Call

First Phone Call
Journaling reads: Kindergarten–your first social phone call. Was it Aubrey? I can’t remember but I do remember how cute you were, how much you enjoyed a phone call. I also remember how you wrote her number down…all jumbled up, because at this age, you don’t comprehend top-to-bottom, right-to-left order.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill) * patterned paper (Basic Grey) * ribbon, button, letter stickers.

The Hyman’s Love Biscuits

The Hyman's Love Bisquits
Journaling reads: Love them with jelly, honey, gravy. Love them fat. Trin and Aiden love to punch them out. We make them a lot. Yummy.
Supplies: cardstock (Core’dinations–notice the light sanding in the right corners revealed a lighter inner core color) * patterned paper (7 Gypsies–this is their new Victoria line, which I LOVE!) * tags (Stampin’ Up) * Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels) * large brad (Bazzill) * rhinestone (Creative Imaginations) * crochetted lace.

selections
I used Tattered Angel’s Glimmer Mists on the tags (left), which used to be cream, and on the angel wings. On the tags I sprayed Tiger Lilly and Garden Fairy. For the wings I used Pearl, then dipped the edges in Robin’s Egg Blue and Patina. I also added a tiny bit of Stickles in Platinum.

    Hello,
Found your website via Cathy Zielske's Top 10 Scrapbooking Blogs. I love it that your family loves biscuits; ours does too! My grandmother made the best biscuits in the world and she had a chocolate sauce that she served with them that was absolutely to die for. Unfortunately, she dies without ever writing down her recipe or sharing with any of 6 daughters or 3 sons. Have you ever come across a recipe for a chocolate sauce that goes marvelous with pipin' hot biscuits?
  • Hi, Evelyn. That's too bad to have lost family favorite recipes! It's a good
reminder to write those down and pass them along, isn't it?

I've never heard of a chocolate sauce for biscuits. If I were you I would
google "chocolate sauce" for biscuits or something like that. Good luck!
  • I just can't stop looking at The Hyman’s Love Biscuits LO, it inspires me so much!!

It has a vintage look but it really isn't, I'm feeling my mojo coming back to me when I look at it!!!

    THANKS!!!

Totally enjoyed this episode. The design principle is simple and well structured, and yet you showed us how "unstructure" it as we need to. Definitely flexible. And I misunderstood the last layout title. I thought y'all called your biscuits the love biscuits (like the Love Boat). :D
    Blessings,
    ~Toni~

Hello Noell, I'm sorry if I don't have another way to contact you, but I found this site http://www.scrapbook-shopping.com/girlyclub.html, and I don't know if they are "legal", I think they are selling your own videos.
    I love your tutorials!!!
  • It's true!!

I subscribed because I was curious and I've just seen they're announcing your video Visual Triangles as "New video" :S
  • I've just had an idea. You could write a quick post with a sketch of all the flexible templates you've showed us so far, so we have all the reference in just one post.

    Could this be possible?
  • I'll do you one better...I'm writing an eBook that will be FREE! It'll have
all of the Flexible Templates with links back to the videos. :)
  • That is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    THANKS
  • I totally agree with AllisonLP.

    Love it!!!
