Paperclipping 108 - How to Make Rounded Corners in Photoshop Elements

Do you remember the collage of heritage photos I made for a layout about my dad’s crazy 1940’s baby stroller? There was a request for me to make a tutorial on how to wrap a collage of photos with a frame like I did on that layout. Today’s episode for the Paperclipping Members will walk you through it step-by-step using Photoshop Elements. The good news is it’s very easy!

Below is the one I made in today’s tutorial…

  • Great & easy to follow tutorial. Keep up a good work Noell, cheers.
  • Indeed a good one, thank you for sharing this tutorial, i really appreciate this favor!
  • As usual, your tutorial is well-done.

That said, I have to say that I am just completely overwhelmed with the idea of using Photoshop. I'm not saying I'll never try it, but there's just something about the learning curve required that makes me want to run from it.

I love the look of the rounded corners frame, though. I guess I am an impatient scrapbooker who just uses her pictures as-is, with no tweaking of colors, saturation, etc.

But as I said, I'll never say never--I may try Photoshop and never look back. Right now it sounds totally overwhelming!

  • Karen, next time you're in the mood for learning something new--you know, to get new juices flowing--you could consider this, but there is definitely no need. I understand it seeming overwhelming. When/if you're ready, you'll find it's not a big deal when you try just one little trick at a time. My tutorials keep things very basic and I think you'll find they're not that hard.

Great tutorial as always! I was able to follow it easily and create my own photo collage with border. I really like the photoshop tutorials and would love to see more!
  • Great to know!
