Paperclipping Live Announcements

Last Week

It was a fun change of pace to have Liz and Jackie as call-in guests on Paperclipping Live last week. I know it was hard for you to see their projects in that little tiny corner window, but fortunately, they posted them on their own website, IllustratingStories.com and you can see them here.

Both techniques came from the book, Lifelines. They look really cool and really fun, so I’m excited to try them some time.

This Week

This coming Tuesday night I’ll be working on an acrylic album. The album will feature all those pictures I took when Liz and Jackie challenged their readers to take a photo an hour for a whole day.

If you’re interested in making a similar album, read about the challenge here so you can have your photos ready to work on during the show. I’m using a semi-clear album by Maya Road and I printed my photos in wallet-size.

Don’t forget: Paperclipping Live is Tuesday night at 6:30pm, PST.

If you’re unsure of the time zone difference, look for your city on this website and then compare it to my city, which is Phoenix.

Remember to register for Skype (it’s free) if you’d like to call into the show to ask a question or share something cool.

  • Kim-- Liz and Jackie had initiated the challenge to take a photo an hour way back in February...on that very day that I took them, I think (there is a link to their original post in my original post). Way back then they said they were going to make a mini-book out of them, so I intended on doing that, too. It just took me this long to get to it. =)

You can see through the Maya Road album that I'll be using, but it's more like a frosted sheer page instead of a clear one. I wanted to buy a clear book but all I could find at my lss was the frosted semi-clear. It'll still have the same principles.

If you have a premium membership, you'll also be excited to hear that this week's Paperclipping episode, which we will release today or tonight, also deals with mini albums that have transparent pages. The pages I used in that video are totally clear, though you'll see it's a different type of book, too.

YES!!!! So excited to see you work on an acrylic album!!! (how different is the semi clear to acrylic?? I only have acrylic from 7 gypsies) I've been waiting for this. I also was very interested in doing a photo an hour when I read about it on Liz and Jackie's site last week. But I do not have my photos taken yet. I noticed you photos are dated 2-28-08 Noell, had you already planned a project like this???

    Can't wait...see you Tuesday!!
