  1. You guys are awesome!!!! I just cannot thank you enough for putting such a cool review out. Your ease and flow of presentation makes it so wonderfully understood!I love your enthusiasm too! Your husband has great talent as well with his video skills. I forwarded the site w/FRED on to many friends and fellow scrappers. I hope they visit your site and enjoy it as much as I do. I watched the clip about painting and masking and you enabled me to add the 2nd and 3rd color-how simple. Thanks for such great tips. Also–love the beads in the buttons-oh my my who would have thought?-Love it love it!
When Brian told me about watching a video of someone scrapbooking I thought he was nuts. Now I am hooked and I want a laptop up in my craft room so I can watch you and work at the same time! I never knew how fun it would be until I sat and watched…for like ever! Now I tune in regularly. You have a great thing going-keep up the great work-both of you. You have 3 kids and are super productive-we have 2 and I am ripping my hair out!! Just kidding! I love what you guys are doing! Keep me posted with anything …I will chat w/you soon!
    Thanks so much again,
    Jenn Pellegrino

  2. Hi Noell! I’ve been following your blogs and videos pretty much from the beginning, and I thought maybe instead of lurking behind the shadows any longer, I should finally say hi! Thanks for all you do! Like everyone says, you are a true inspiration. I also love your Paperclipping Live episodes! They really make me feel like I get to know you a little… they make it seem like you’re just another “real” person going through similar thought processes and similar struggles to create a layout (sometimes when you only see the final product, it can feel intimidating, like it was put together by some superior being!!! Haha!). And you always come up with something fabulous!

Thanks for the review of FRED! What a cool product! I’ll have to check into it more!!

Keep up all the great work… can’t wait to see what the future of Paperclipping has in store!

  3. Noell, thanks for the review. It is a really cool product, and makes paperclipping live so much easier for us to see! Did you ever make a decision about the little dents from the magnets on the photos? I am assuming since you didn’t mention it in the review, it turned out not to be a big problem?

  4. Noell,
Thanks for the review. I was so impressed with FRED after seeing you use it that I ordered two. I had an email exchange with Brian and mentioned that I saw FRED on your LIVE show. I can’t wait to receive my FRED’s at the end of this week. He shipped next day and the customer service at the company seemed top notch. Thanks again for your shows, I just love them.

  7. Noell, I, too, thank you for introducing us to your new “scrapping buddy”! The presentation was great. I guess I am going to have to bite the bullet and get one of those.

I would like to also know what you finally thought about the dents from the magnets. Did they work out okay after all? They must be pretty powerful to hold buttons!

Again, thanks and will “see” you tomorrow!

  8. Hello!

Wow! Fred looks like a cool product. Thanks for introducing us to this new item.

For me, using the Creative Memories Layout system enables me to lay out an entire album (each- single and/or double pages). What I like most is the ease of folding everything into the layout box with the guides and not getting my completed layouts mixed up until everything gets adhered into the album.

Your videos are very educational…keep them coming! Weiss

  10. Hi Noel. :)

I keep stopping by to enjoy your paperclipping videos and thought I’d leave a comment this time to say “Thank you”. As always, you are a very talented person and you’re always very helpful.

The funny thing with the FRED item is, I kind of made my own version of this by accident. I have the BG magnetic matt and a tabletop easel and I was using it the same way the FRED is used. I like the fact that FRED can be bought in 2 parts for a double page LO.

Thanks for doing your videos. I really appreciate your sharing this with us.

  12. A couple of you asked me about the magnets making small dents in the photo (I mentioned during Paperclipping Live that I was concerned about that). The magnets make some very minimal impressions after I first took the magnets off but I found that when I checked back later, they were mostly either gone or I could wipe them away with my photo-safe cloth.

I only have two photos that have a slight impression, which you can barely see and, and only when you hold the light to them just right. The little scratch marks on my photos from sliding them in and out of envelopes and from natural wear and tear are worse than the slight magnet impressions, if that gives you an idea of how minimal they are.

In fact, the Basic Grey mat with magnets do the same thing. I checked because they look like the same magnets. I told this all to Brian, and even though the impressions are minimal, he is testing some felt to see if they can be added to the magnets. If it works, that’s great. If it doesn’t, I’m not worried about it at all.

  14. I have 2 of the FRED’s and they are awesome. My friend Kim and I both have them and went to the Scrap Bowl over the weekend and had lots of women stopping to ask about them and where they could get them. They are great to have especially if you go to crops that last for several hours. They help cut down on neck strain and headaches and are wonderful to plan pages. Deb
